About the project

The purpose of the project is to create conditions for improved fire and community preparedness in Bjursele and surrounding areas, as well as to develop a method for community preparedness that other villages can benefit from.

The goal of the project is to conduct training in forest fire fighting and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), to purchase equipment for fire fighting and first aid efforts, and to document the project in a guide that other interested parties can access.

The project consists of mapping, purchasing, deploying, and installing equipment for preparedness in the event of a fire, conducting training in forest fire fighting and CPR, as well as documentation and compilation of a guide.

Efforts

”Training and increased knowledge about fires in general but perhaps primarily in forests and fields, as well as training in CPR
and first aid is part of the project. Landowners, residents, and vacation home owners are offered training.”
