FAQ – Leader Skellefteå Älvdal
Here you will find frequently asked questions and answers – both for you who are seeking leader support and for you who are running a leader project.
Apply for support
Who can apply for support?
Authorities, municipalities, regions, associations, other organizations, and companies that contribute to promoting development in the leader area can receive support. Individuals cannot apply for support from Leader Skellefteå Älvdal.
In which area can support be applied for?
The leader area Skellefteå Älvdal includes the municipalities of Malå, Norsjö, and Skellefteå (the Skellefteå locality is excluded).
What can you apply for support for?
Examples of costs include: salary, indirect costs, purchased services, investments, and other costs that advance the project towards a specific goal. Support is not provided for ongoing costs and regular operations.
The project's efforts should contribute to fulfilling the purpose and goals in Leader Skellefteå Älvdal's development strategy. Review the areas of intervention and development strategy before you apply.
How are voluntary contributions valued?
Voluntary work consists of efforts that the project does not pay for. Other voluntary resources include materials or premises that the project does not pay for.
The voluntary work demonstrates the engagement you have created in your community through your project. We wish for you to match the project support with approximately 30% in voluntary resources/voluntary work.
In the application, you describe the voluntary work and state the number of hours. Time for individuals over 16 years is valued at 340 kronor per hour. Time for individuals between 13 and 15 years is valued at 77 kronor per hour. Professionals can count the same hourly cost as they have for the corresponding service in their professional work.
Running a project
When can the project start?
The project begins at your own risk from the date you submitted the application in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's e-service. Once the project is approved by the Swedish Board of Agriculture, there is an opportunity to apply for payment.
Can we apply for an advance?
When you have received the formal decision from the Swedish Board of Agriculture, you can apply for an advance payment. Government authorities, regions, and municipalities cannot apply for advance payments.
When you apply for an advance, you do not need to report any expenses. Therefore, you must instead report the expenses for this amount when you apply for the final payment.
What is separate accounting?
In your accounting, the expenses and revenues related to the investment or project are reported separately from expenses and revenues related to other activities. The separate accounting is submitted with each new application for payment and pertains to the period for which you are applying for payment.
What is considered an investment?
An investment is an asset with a purchase price exceeding 24,000 kronor excluding VAT and has a lifespan of at least 3 years. Equipment with a shorter economic lifespan than three years or with a lower acquisition value than 24,000 kronor should be reported as an other expense.
Expenses related to the investment are included in the investment cost, such as freight, assembly, and consulting fees.
