Sustainability, local supply and entrepreneurship

Focus area 3 includes sustainability, local supply, and entrepreneurship. In Skellefteå Älvdal, there are rich resources in our nature and our cultural heritage. There are good conditions to develop new businesses and unique reasons to visit. Initiatives that stimulate entrepreneurship and contribute to a strengthened local supply through new products, services, and reasons to visit based on the area's natural resources and conditions.

To further strengthen Leader Skellefteå Älvdal, a long-term and sustainable development effort is needed. This can occur through increased collaboration between different groups and actors in the community and monitoring of the external environment.

Focus area 3 encompasses projects that contribute to sustainability, local supply, and entrepreneurship through:

  • sustainable products, services, jobs, and reasons to visit are created and developed
  • innovative solutions that increase the conditions for resource-efficient and sustainable rural development
  • broadening the use of the digital infrastructure
  • increased use of sustainable solutions

Focus areas

Focus areas constitute the strategy's tools and indicate in which areas the development efforts should take place. The efforts are based on a completed SWOT analysis, survey, and area description. Based on identified needs, there are two additional focus areas. These are; collaboration, participation, and hospitality as well as leisure and housing.
